MILWAUKEE – (May 6, 2025) – Nearly 70 GE HealthCare colleagues will roll up their sleeves on Wednesday, May 7 for the organization’s 23rd annual day of service with Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast (GSWISE). GE HealthCare volunteers will participate in a variety of camp clean-up and prep activities at two of GSWISE’s camp properties: Camp Alice Chester in East Troy and Camp Silver Brook in West Bend.

Volunteers will spend the day supporting GSWISE staff with essential projects to prepare the camp properties for the upcoming summer season, which brings thousands of Girl Scouts for overnight and day camps. Projects will include tree trimming, wood splitting, cleaning outdoor units and Welcome Centers, painting, brush removal, landscaping, and setting up the camps’ seasonal Trading Post stores.

“GE HealthCare’s hands-on service is critical for our council’s ability to create a safe and welcoming environment where Girl Scouts can thrive, grow, and learn,” said Ana Simpson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast. “We’re grateful for their partnership and dedication to helping provide our community’s future leaders with a space to develop confidence, independence, and outdoor skills.”

Hosted every summer between June and August for campers in grades K5-12, Girl Scout camp offers a great way to seek challenges, explore and adventure, learn new skills, and make new friends. GSWISE offers a variety of camp options, including day camps, day camps by community, overnight camps, and CampHERO, across five locations in East Troy, Waukesha, Oconomowoc, West Bend, and Kenosha. Registration for Girl Scout camp is currently open, and financial assistance is available.
