MILWAUKEE, WI (April 17, 2025) – Potawatomi Casino and Digital Bridge, two Milwaukee organizations recognized for their dedication to environmental sustainability, are partnering to celebrate Earth Day with a month-long electronic recycling drive for Potawatomi team members.

Digital Bridge, one of the nation’s top nonprofit e-waste recycling providers, is providing the opportunity for Potawatomi employees to bring in old electronics to be recycled free-of-charge instead of ending up in a landfill – a growing problem in Milwaukee and across the country.

This is just part of the relationship built between Potawatomi and Digital Bridge over the past several years. Digital Bridge currently collects and recycles used electronic devices through a partnership with Potawatomi’s IT Department.

Digital Bridge is also a multiple-time recipient of funds from Potawatomi’s Heart of Canal Street campaign, which rewards local non-profit organizations that help children each year. Digital Bridge was one of 30 organizations randomly selected to receive funding during the 2024 Heart of Canal Street 30th Anniversary celebration last December.

“Digital Bridge is a fantastic partner and community organization,” said Garret Finocchiaro, Potawatomi Chief Information Officer. “At Potawatomi technology plays such an important role in what we do. We trust Digital Bridge to help ensure we have removed any sensitive data stored on our computers and to recycle and repurpose that technology for people who don’t have access to it.”

The electronics recycling drive includes items such as computers and computer accessories, printers, cell phones and gaming devices. Digital Bridge collects and recycles old electronics and in many cases refurbishes them in order to donate technology such as laptops to schools and non-profits.

“Potawatomi has been an incredible partner, not just in helping fund our mission, but in actively supporting the environmental work we do every day,” said Michael Regione, Director of Sales & Partner Success at Digital Bridge. “Potawatomi walks the walk by recycling technology and engaging their team in efforts like this Earth Day drive. Together, we’re keeping electronics out of landfills and providing refurbished devices to those who need them most. It’s the kind of partnership that truly makes an impact — both locally and globally.”
