MILWAUKEE, WI (Friday, April 11, 2025)Bel Canto Chorus brings its 2024–25 season to a close with Voices of Home, a moving concert that invites audiences to reflect on what “home” truly means. The performance takes place on Sunday, May 4 at 3:00 PM at the Irish Cultural & Heritage Center in Milwaukee.

Voices of Home weaves together a rich tapestry of music—from the folk traditions that helped define America’s cultural sound to the cherished rituals of family life.

A highlight of the program is the world premiere of Looking for Home by Argentinian composer Santiago Veros. In the foreword to his composition, Veros writes: “Sometimes home isn’t a physical location, but an emotional space… Looking for Home doesn’t answer the question of what home is. But it does try to trace the path we walk when we begin to search for it.”

To further ground the program in community, representatives from Habitat for Humanity will be present, offering insight into what home means for individuals and families in Milwaukee today.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at belcanto.org/voicesofhome.
