Wild Space Dance Company brings its signature choreographic voice to the intimate Studio Theater stage with A Room Shaped Story, crafting an evocative world where walls move and movement speaks. The performance space breathes, shifts, and transforms before your eyes in the premiere of this evening-length dance.

Artistic Director Dan Schuchart and guest choreographers Katelyn Altmann and Ashley Ray Garcia present a collection of abstract narratives told through movement, unfolding within the ever-changing boundaries of a single room. A dynamic set features moving walls that frame and reshape the action while dancers delve into storytelling through physicality, space, and transformation. Within these shifting walls, performers embody the push and pull of intimacy and isolation, collaboration and connection. Through intricate ensemble work and bold solos, dancers create a kinetic collage—one that invites the audience to witness how movement can transcend narrative, how space can shape emotion, and how every passing interaction leaves its mark.

A Room Shaped Story is an invitation to step beyond the expected into fleeting moments—where stories emerge, collide, and dissolve—experiencing dance as a poetic dialogue between body and space.

Choreographers: Katelyn Altmann, Ashley Ray Garcia, Dan Schuchart
