Supervisor Capriolo Encourages Those in Need to Attend Live, Laugh, Loaves Distribution This Saturday
MILWAUKEE – Supervisor Sky Z. Capriolo is encouraging residents in need of essential grocery items to attend the upcoming Live, Laugh, Loaves distribution event tomorrow, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church, 5335 Oklahoma Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53219. The event, founded by District 15 resident MiquelaRae Artz, provides free bread and other grocery staples to those facing food insecurity.
“MiquelaRae’s work is a shining example of grassroots action making a real difference in people’s lives,” said Supervisor Capriolo. “Her generosity and commitment to feeding families in our community deserve recognition and support, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be there in person to thank her. At a time when so many are struggling to put food on the table, efforts like this are essential. I encourage anyone who could use a helping hand to stop by.”
Live, Laugh, Loaves began in 2024 as an effort to reduce food waste and ensure that edible, past-date bread items reach those who need them most. Since then, Artz has helped hundreds of families, often offering produce and other staples in addition to bread.
