Damian Lillard Selected As 2025 Nba All-star Game Reserve
Lillard earns ninth career NBA All-Star Game nod
MILWAUKEE (Jan. 30, 2025) – Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard has been selected as a reserve for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. It’s Lillard’s second consecutive All-Star Game nod and the ninth overall of his career.
In his second season with the Bucks and 13th in the NBA, Lillard is averaging 25.3 points (12th in NBA), 7.3 assists (T-9th in NBA) and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 45.2% from the field and 92.2% from the free throw line (2nd in NBA). In 38 appearances this season, Lillard has scored 20+ points 31 times, 30+ points 10 times and 40+ points one time, while dishing out 10+ assists in nine games this season to tally nine double-doubles. Lillard has hauled in 10+ rebounds two times this season for two triple-doubles, which he recorded in back-to-back games on Jan. 23 and Jan. 25 to mark the first consecutive triple-doubles of his career. The 2024 NBA All-Star Game MVP also eclipsed 22,000 career points on Jan. 19, becoming the 38th player in NBA history to reach the mark.
Lillard will be the second Bucks player to represent the team in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, joining forward Giannis Antetokounmpo who was named a starter on Jan. 23. The Bucks have now had multiple players in the NBA All-Star Game in six of the last seven seasons.
The reserves for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game were selected by NBA head coaches. The 74th NBA All-Star Game, which will feature a new tournament-style format with players divided into four teams, tips off from San Francisco at 7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, Feb. 16.
