Sen. Johnson Leads Effort to Pass Midnight Rules Relief Act
WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and 6 of his Senate GOP colleagues reintroduced the Midnight Rules Relief Act to allow en bloc consideration of resolutions disapproving multiple “midnight rules” submitted during the final year of a President’s term. This bill would expedite Congress’s ability to repeal an outgoing President’s midnight rules.
Sen. Johnson was joined by Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.), Tim Sheehy (R-Mont.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), and Rick Scott (R-Fla.).
