CFC Action Fund Endorses Brittany Kinser for Wisconsin State Superintendent of Public Instruction
CFC Action Fund proudly announces its endorsement of Brittany Kinser for Wisconsin State Superintendent of Public Instruction. With over two decades of experience in education as a teacher and administrator across both district and public charter schools, and a proven track record of driving meaningful change as an advocate for students and families, Kinser represents the bold, student-centered leadership Wisconsin’s schools need.
“At CFC, we have called for a clean slate, a fresh start, and a fundamentally new approach to the challenges facing students in Milwaukee and across Wisconsin. We believe Brittany Kinser has the vision, the experience, and the proven ability to build cross-partisan relationships necessary to transform Wisconsin’s education system, improve outcomes for students, and bring change to the Department of Public Instruction,” said Colleston Morgan, Jr. Executive Director of CFC Action Fund.
CFC Action Fund’s policy priorities, developed in collaboration with our partner organization, City Forward Collective, stress that every child deserves a fairly funded education, and every family deserves honesty, transparency, and accountability in school performance. These priorities drive our commitment to advocate for eliminating per-pupil funding gaps across school sectors, providing families with clear information about student outcomes, and ensuring high expectations and consistent standards for all schools.
As CFC Action Fund does in every election, our endorsement process began with a review of each candidate’s position and platform for alignment with our Policy Priorities. CFC Action Fund submitted questions to each candidate and conducted a Q&A session in coming to our endorsement decision. CFC Action Fund wants to acknowledge and appreciate Jeff Wright‘s participation in our endorsement process, his forthright answers to our questions, and particularly his firm commitment to restoring high academic standards for Wisconsin students. The Jill Underly campaign did not respond to our invitation to participate in the endorsement process.
Through our endorsement process, it was clear that Brittany shares our belief that high standards inspire students to excel. Her focus on getting back to basics and teaching foundational skills of reading, writing, and math will provide children with a solid academic base for lifelong success. She’s committed to empowering and partnering with parents as champions of their children’s education, ensuring transparency and accountability for outcomes, and rewarding great teachers. Brittany’s vision for a transparent and innovative DPI will make schools stronger, funding fairer, and opportunities brighter for every kid in Wisconsin.
