Brewers Acquire Right-Handed Pitcher Grant Anderson From Rangers
Send Left-Handed Pitcher Mason Molina to Texas
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired right-handed pitcher Grant Anderson from the Texas Rangers in exchange for left-handed pitcher Mason Molina. The announcement was made by Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold.
Anderson has pitched parts of the last two seasons with the Rangers, appearing in 49 games, all coming in relief. He also appeared in 26 games at Triple-A Round Rock in 2024, going 3-0 with a 2.93 ERA and 1 save while holding opponents to a .216 batting average with 34 strikeouts in 27.2 innings pitched.
Anderson was originally selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 21st round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft out of McNeese State University. He was acquired by the Rangers in exchange for right-handed pitcher Connor Sadzeck on April 2, 2019.
Molina, 21, was selected by Milwaukee in the seventh round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Arkansas. He made his professional debut last season at Class-A Carolina, where he made 2 starts.
