The passing of Alderman Joe Dudzik
Statement of Alderman José G. Pérez May 22, 2015
As a colleague, as a friend and as a fellow south-sider, I offer my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Alderman Joe Dudzik, who passed away last night.
Joe was a vocal advocate for the South Side, and it was my pleasure to serve with him. In person or in committee meetings, his personality, his zest for life and his sense of humor stand out as some of his defining features. He will be deeply missed here at City Hall.
Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
