Girls Rock Milwaukee Embarks on Organization Name Change Process
MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin – On its 12th birthday, December 12, 2024, Girls Rock Milwaukee (Girls Rock MKE) is announcing its decision to undergo an organizational name change process, culminating in an anticipated rebrand launch on January 1, 2026. Accordingly, 2025 will be the last year Girls Rock MKE programs run under the Girls Rock and Ladies Rock camp names. This transformation reflects the organization’s commitment to values of inclusion and ensures that everyone in our community feels welcome and represented.
Why a Name Change?
What Remains the Same?
The organization’s mission, programs, and values remain unchanged. The name change will better reflect the work and impact already happening within Girls Rock MKE’s programming.
Community-Driven Decision
The name change decision will be guided by intensive community feedback collected through a program evaluation process. Focus groups, surveys, and community input will inform the new name, ensuring it emerges from and represents the diverse community served.
You can support this transition by:
- Applying to participate in focus groups
- Completing a community input survey
- Reading Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) posted on their website
- Email Girls Rock MKE with ideas, questions, or to help with the transition.
