Supervisors Gómez-Tom, Martinez Applaud Shakespeare in the City Events with Spanish Interpretation
MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Supervisors Caroline Gómez-Tom and Juan Miguel Martinez are excited to promote Shakespeare in the City events, featuring Optimist Theatre‘s production of “Macbeth” by the Pocket Park Puppet Players. The performances will take place in Clarke Square Park on June 22 and Walker Square Park on June 23, with Spanish interpretation provided to ensure broader community participation. Supervisors Gómez-Tom and Martinez made the following statements:
“By offering Spanish interpretation, we are making this cultural event accessible to more residents and bringing our community together through the magic of Shakespeare,” said Supervisor Gómez-Tom.
Supervisor Martinez added, “These events are a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy free, outdoor theater while celebrating our diverse community. It is not too often we get to see different things like this in our neighborhood, which makes me especially happy to see.”
