Indaba Nights, the free summer concert series held at the Indaba Band Shell on the grounds of St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care‘s Bucyrus Campus, has announced its 2024 schedule.

The free, Wednesday-night concert series features a different performer each week during the months of June, July and August. The entertainment happens from 6:30 p.m.to 8:30 p.m. at the Indaba Band Shell, an accessible, family-friendly gathering place that supports community and the performing arts.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring camp chairs (a limited number of folding chairs will be set up on the paved area in front of the stage) or blankets for seating on the grassy hill. Food and beverages will be available for purchase; coolers are also allowed. Tours of the Bucyrus facility will be offered at 6 p.m., ending before the music begins. The band shell is located to the rear of the property, at 2450 W. North Ave. in Milwaukee, and has paved walkways from the parking lot to the stage.

“I’m very excited that we are becoming a premier, free, community hotspot for ‛ol’ school’ entertainment,’” says St. Ann Center’s Special Event Director Gloria Miller says of the family-friendly evenings. “This year, we are showcasing jazz, blues and just that — ol’ school entertainment. With many of the bands, you will be able to travel down memory lane, singing along and dancing.”
