The family-friendly festival offers free entry and showcases local artisans and crafters adding their unique touch to Frida-inspired artworks. Paying tribute to Frida Kahlo‘s home and love for nature, the “Casa Azul Garden” will provide a serene and immersive experience. The Garden additionally provides a grounding space for activities such as the poetry reading function highlighting another side of our local creatives.

With a commitment to introducing fresh and distinctive exhibits annually, festival-goers can expect ne art installations, a beautiful textile/crochet Frida piece from artist Cassandra Rendon, a presentation on the connection between Frida and nature in the Garden, and an altar to celebrate the life of Frida. Attendees can also enjoy Frida-themed painting classes, floral crown-making classes, educational discussion panels, interactive art and photo booths, food vendors, live painting, live performances, and dancing.

The collaboration between Farmhouse Paint & Sip, Chucho’s Red Tacos, and festival sponsor BizStarts, emphasizes the arts’ ability to inspire creativity, promote community engagement,
and cultivate an appreciation for diverse cultures. Through the arts, individuals can find relaxation and respite from the busy schedules that dominate our lives.

Owners of the Farmhouse Paint & Sip & Chucho’s Red Tacos, Enrique and Thaime Nañez, are longtime Milwaukeean allies, with involvement as business professionals, volunteers in the community, and work with nonprofits.
