Americans for Prosperity Launches Radio Ads Thanking Legislators for Right-To-Work Vote

MADISON – Today, Americans for Prosperity Wisconsin is launching a wave of statewide radio ads thanking legislators for their votes to make Wisconsin the nation’s 25^th Right-To-Work state. Staff and volunteers from AFP’s Wisconsin chapter led the way in pressing for passage of this policy, a central plank of the organization’s agenda.

AFP-Wisconsin State Director David Fladeboe released the following statement:

“We’re excited to thank the many legislators across the state who did the right thing and stood up for Worker’s Rights. Every American deserves the right to work where they please without being compelled to pay dues. Now, Wisconsin can finally guarantee that right to workers all across our great state. We thank lawmakers and our thousands of in-state activists for their hard work supporting this bill and look forward to working with them in the future as we continue fighting to ensure Wisconsin remains a place of opportunity and freedom for all.”

The Wisconsin chapter of Americans for Prosperity has been a long-time advocate of right-to-work legislation and was a major player in marshaling support for the policy. Over the past few years, the organization has actively engaged the legislature and organized citizens through a wall-to-wall effort that included radio, digital and social media content, phone banks and more. Legislators who voted to pass the bill have the appreciation of the chapter’s more than 125,000 activists, staff and volunteers.
