MILWAUKEE (January 29th, 2024) – After coming in 3rd place on Milwaukee Diaper Mission’s top 5 diaper drives of 2023, Lakefront Brewery looks to climb the ranks and bring in even more diapers on Sunday, February 11th. Their event back in January of 2023 brought in a total of 8,825 diapers for those in need which is the number they hope to beat this year.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the support last year,” says Liz Mauritz, Lakefront’s Ripple Effect donation program coordinator, “it was an easy decision to welcome back such a wonderful non-profit for such a worthy cause. We’ve always been a family-friendly establishment with many families being raised within our own ranks, and we’re lucky to have the team at Milwaukee Diaper Mission to put in the hard work after the diapers have been collected.”

Bring in as many unopened, fully packaged, disposable diapers as you want to Lakefront Brewery on Sunday, February 11thfrom 11AM to 5PM and receive Lakefront cash in return. Every diaper you donate will net you $.25 (25 cents) in Lakefront Brewery gift cards to spend in their Beer Hall that day or any day in the future. Lakefront will also be accepting fully packaged baby wipes and tampons, doling out $.25 for every 10 wipes and for each tampon. Milwaukee Diaper Mission will accept all applicable items they can help distribute but please be aware that diapers, tampons, and wipes will be the only items accepted for Lakefront Brewery gift cards.

Milwaukee Diaper Mission does note that they’re most in need of size 5, size 6, and newborn size diapers as well as tampons and baby wipes. If you can’t make it down to Lakefront but still want to show your support? Visit Milwaukee Diaper Mission’s website here: https://www.milwaukeediapermission.org/

Milwaukee Diaper Mission is a basic needs bank. They partner with local social service agencies to provide a reliable source of essentials, including diapers, something that shouldn’t be considered a luxury, but a need. One in two families in the U.S. lack the funds to keep up with their diaper needs. Milwaukee Diaper Mission utilizes a distribution model that is efficient and cost-effective, ensuring that diapers get in the hands of those that need them most.

Lakefront Brewery, Inc. distributes its products to over 30 states, Ukraine, and Canada. Lakefront Brewery is the first brewery in Wisconsin and 22nd brewery in the world to be certified as a B Corporation. Lakefront Brewery also produced the first beer in the United States made from 100% in-state-grown ingredients, including a first-of-its-kind, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain (Wisconsinite Summer Weiss), the first certified organic brewery and the first gluten-free beer granted approval by the U.S. Government (New Grist).
