Wild Knowing: The Role of the Arts in Ecological Culture

September 13, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

What would an ecological culture look like? How could we create one? This 30 minute presentation explores how we can bring the power of the arts in nature to enrich our lives, enhance our well-being, transform our culture, and have fun along the way! The presentation will be followed by discussion and stories.

J. Philip Grygny is an independent artist/scholar interested in the intersections of art, science, nature, and culture. In 2017, he founded the Performance Ecology Project to explore how artistic and contemplative practices can deepen our relationship with the living world. His work was been published by the Center for Humans and Nature, and has been reported on in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Shepherd Express, and Wisconsin Public Radio.
