Milwaukee County Launches American Rescue Plan Act Allocation Dashboard
Milwaukee County has allocated over $76 million on community support needs, revenue loss recovery, COVID-19 mitigation, and administrative coordination
MILWAUKEE, WI – Today, Milwaukee County announced the launch of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Allocation Dashboard to provide transparency and accountability to the public on where critical federal funds have been recommended for allocation by ARPA taskforce.
“Upon creation of the ARPA task force, I asked taskforce members to invest in the financial health and security of Milwaukee County and pledged to County residents that we would use these funds to focus on investing in fiscal sustainability to ensure that the critical services offered by the County could be sustained in the near future,” said Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. “The new ARPA Allocation dashboard makes sure we’re putting our money where our mouth is by focusing on the fiscal health of the County and ensuring critical services aren’t endangered.”
“The ARPA task force has explored and invested in evidence-based, financially responsible programs that provide outsized return on investment for those served by Milwaukee County,” said taskforce designee, Ricardo Diaz. “The ARPA Allocation dashboard provides overall summary data about those overall allocations and allocation by expenditure categories determined by the task force last year.”
To date, $76,100,824 has been allocated through the task force process. Milwaukee County has allocated nearly $10 million in community support expenditures, $59 million in revenue loss expenditures, $2.5 million in COVID-19 mitigation, and $4.4 million in fund administration. In addition, $50.8 million in projects have been recommended by the ARPA taskforce and are in the process of being reviewed by the full board for recommendation.
