Madison- A new television ad that will begin airing today is the second in Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters’ $1 million campaign to defeat Governor Walker.

The ad, “Water,” highlights how Governor Walker risked contaminating the drinking water of Wisconsin citizens with arsenic and lead when he signed the open-pit mining bill. It also reminds voters that Governor Walker signed the open-pit mining bill after the mining company gave $700,000 to a group actively supporting Governor Walker.

The ad concludes with, “You can’t put a price on clean water. But it looks like Scott Walker just did.”

Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to electing conservation leaders, holding decision makers accountable and encouraging lawmakers to champion conservation policies that effectively protect Wisconsin’s public health and natural resources.
