Radical Rebecca Kleefisch Crashes and Burns On School Board Recall
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin GOP gubernatorial candidate Rebecca Kleefisch struck out yesterday on the school board recall she used as a mini referendum on her own viability.
Kleefisch knocked doors there and sent her campaign team to canvass for the candidates – making it clear that she stands with party extremists. One school board recall candidate was even on Kleefisch’s campaign committee. That candidate, Scarlett Johnson, drew controversy for her extreme views. In addition to Kleefisch’s efforts, the Republican machine poured money into the race. But Wisconsinites delivered Kleefisch’s radical agenda a decisive loss.
“Rebecca Kleefisch’s re-introduction to Wisconsin politics crashed and burned,” said Rapid Response Director Kayla Anderson. “Associating herself with fear mongering and a divisive campaign backfired. Wisconsinites soundly rejected her radical brand of politics, and they’ll do it again in 2022.”
