Milwaukee County Human Services Building Update Regarding COVID-19

Milwaukee—Out of an abundance of caution, hours at Milwaukee County’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) building, located at 1220 W. Vliet Street, are being adjusted to ensure the safety of customers and employees. Beginning Wednesday, August 18, 2021, the Marcia P. Coggs building will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM and Thursdays from 12 to 4 PM. GO Pass services are available during these times.

To minimize possible transmission of the virus, residents should call the Aging Resource Center at (414) 289-6874 or the Disability Resource Center at (414) 289-6660 rather than come for a walk-in visit.

The ARC and DRC provide accurate, unbiased information on all aspects of life related to aging or living with a disability. The ARC/DRC can connect residents to a broad range of programs and services, helping people understand the various long-term care options available to them, apply for programs and benefits, and serve as an access point for publicly funded long-term care. Additionally, the Aging Division coordinates a variety of social services such as home-delivered meals, family caregiver supports, congregate meals, senior center programming, and other services for older adults in Milwaukee County.
