MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Health Department’s ambassador program, the Crush COVID Crew, is looking for individuals who are passionate about spreading reputable education sources and information to their communities regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and combatting the spread of misinformation. On Tuesday, June 29, the Crush COVID Crew will host virtual information sessions via Zoom from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

The goal of this program is to address common misconceptions and concerns around vaccine safety and effectiveness by providing influential voices and organizations with consistent and verified COVID-19 messaging. The virtual information sessions will provide information, tools, and resources from Milwaukee Health Department staff and other medical experts so ambassadors can feel confident speaking to their personal networks about the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Community vaccination is an all-hands-on-deck effort,” said Milwaukee Health Commissioner Kirsten Johnson. “Those who are still nervous about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine are often more comfortable talking to trusted individuals in their lives, so we encourage anyone interested in supporting the vaccination effort to join the ambassador program to help educate and reassure your friends and family.”

Interested participants can register in advance to the virtual information sessions:

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Anyone who is interested in joining the Crush COVID Crew but has not yet registered for the program should do so by visiting this link and filling out the form prior to attending the information session.

The Milwaukee Health Department strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. Reasonable accommodations, of an auxiliary aid or service required due to a disability, will be provided upon request.
