Lucid Lounge to re-open with fresh programming and a new man at the helm

By - Mar 31st, 2021 12:02 pm

On Friday April 9th and Saturday April 10th, Lucid Lounge will re-open their doors after being closed for over an entire year due to the nationwide pandemic. Milwaukee nightlife impresario Sean Pliss (most notably of Oak Lounge, which he sold in 2016) will lead the re-opening with what he calls a “refreshed and reimagined Lucid brand”. Pliss spent the past 3 years traveling the country, opening several high-profile bars and restaurants in the hospitality industry for leading hotel management company, Crescent Hotels & Resorts.

“Before the pandemic hit, Lucid was a major player in the Milwaukee nightlife scene. Because of that, I didn’t feel the need to come in and revamp the entire space. Instead, we’ve added a few subtle, but impactful cosmetic touches, while keeping the overall esthetic of the venue intact.” says Pliss

Sean also notes that the biggest change guests will notice will be in the nightly programming as well as the way the room is produced from a visual standpoint. “Everything we do will be done with purpose. From the lighting, to the service touches, to the overall guest experience.”

Once open, Lucid will operate on Friday and Saturday night, with their sights set on adding a third night later in the year. A loaded roster of local DJ’s will provide the majority of the nightly entertainment, with national touring acts being added in the coming months.
