Shots Fired Incident on I-894
Milwaukee, WI (September 19th, 2020) Today, at approximately 12:51 p.m., deputies responded to a report of shots fired southbound on I-894. Upon their arrival, a witness stated that a subject in a red vehicle pulled out a gun, fired a single shot in the air and continued southbound on the freeway.
The driver of the red vehicle was located and arrested and has been conveyed to the Milwaukee County Jail on potential charges including 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety While Armed, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Possession with the Intent to Deliver While Armed (THC).
The Greenfield and Hales Corners Police Departments assisted in the apprehension of the driver and the passenger. The passenger was released.
No injuries have been reported in connection with this incident. All lanes were closed southbound on I-894 at 12:59 p.m. and reopened at 1:30 p.m.
This investigation is ongoing.
