Logsdon Appointed to Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership Council
"I'm honored to be appointed to the Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership Council."
MILWAUKEE – Governor Tony Evers has appointed Milwaukee County Supervisor Patti Logsdon to the Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership Council.
“I’m honored to be appointed to the Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership Council. I know how important it can be for a child and their family in a tough situation to have the right people at the right time step into their lives and serves as a mentor and help,” said Logsdon.
Logsdon said she is looking forward to working on issues like improving our foster care system, as well as recruiting and retaining quality social workers, which Logsdon says is critical to supporting Milwaukee County’s efforts on behalf of children and families in need.
The Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership Council was established as an advisory body to the State regarding child welfare services in Milwaukee County and is designated as the Child Protective Services Citizen Review Panel for Milwaukee County.
Citizen Review Panels are federally mandated to evaluate local and state child protection systems and to submit an annual report to the federal children’s bureau each year that outlines the panel’s activities and makes recommendations to the state child protective system regarding strengthening its services.
