(MILWAUKEE, WI) April 8, 2019—Madison Medical Affiliates is pleased to welcome Venelin Kounev, M.D. to our growing practice. Dr. Kounev specializes in Gastroenterology and is accepting new patients at Ascension Medical Clinic, located at 8020 S. Howell Avenue in Oak Creek.

Dr. Venelin Kounev completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Sofia in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1996. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology in 2007. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, he has worked as a Gastroenterologist in Milwaukee since 2008.
