Senator Scott Fitzgerald Announces New Communications Director
"Alec [Zimmerman] will be an integral part of the team as we work diligently on behalf of our constituents."
[Madison, WI] — Today, Senator Scott Fitzgerald announced the hiring of a new communications director, Alec Zimmerman. Zimmerman will serve as Fitzgerald’s official spokesman and handle the office’s day-to-day communications operation.
“Alec will be an integral part of the team as we work diligently on behalf of our constituents,” said Senator Fitzgerald. “We are excited to have him on the team as we continue to highlight how our reforms are putting hard-working Wisconsin families first.”
Zimmerman comes to the office after previously serving as the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s communications director. Prior to that, Zimmerman worked for Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and for Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner.
Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) represents the 13th Senate District, which covers portions of Dodge, Jefferson, Waukesha, Washington, Dane, and Columbia counties.

Looks like Zimmerman was available because he was unemployed.
He’s been given a very cushy new job. Fitz has only three “constituents”: WMC, the Koch boys and ALEC.
