Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee Announces 2018 Leadership Award Winners
These winners will be formally recognized at HPGM’s annual meeting held August 24, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
MILWAUKEE – (July 17, 2018) – Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM), a non-profit organization dedicated to building a robust pipeline of Hispanic talent in the Midwest, today announced its 2018 Leadership Award winners. These exemplary individuals exhibit innovation, passion and achievement in their careers, while serving as role models and taking time to give back to the community.
This year’s 2018 Leadership Award winners, include:
- Ally Award – Greg Marcus, president and CEO at the Marcus Corporation
- Distinguished Leader – Andres Gonzalez, vice president and chief diversity officer at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin
- Rising Leader Award – Leana Nakielski, development director at the Greater Milwaukee Committee
- Community Leader Award – Alfonso Morales, chief of police at the Milwaukee Police Department
- Corporation of the Year – Rockwell Automation
“Through our efforts at HPGM, we see talented individuals who work tirelessly to make our region a better place to live and work every day. A select few go above and beyond. We honor and wholeheartedly thank these individuals, the 2018 Leadership Award winners. Without their commitment, we could not fully achieve our mission of attracting, retaining and recruiting Hispanic talent for the businesses and communities we serve,” said Griselda Aldrete, president and CEO of HPGM.
This year’s Leadership Award winners were selected from a competitive pool of nominees for their extensive contributions to the Hispanic community. These winners will be formally recognized at HPGM’s annual meeting held August 24, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Since 2004, HPGM has recognized community and business leaders in the greater Milwaukee area through its Leadership Awards program. These individuals encompass a diverse group of professionals who celebrate and support Hispanics in the workforce. HPGM has honored 59 individuals over the award program’s 14-year-long history,
