Supervisor Weishan Proposing Marijuana Referendum for November Ballot
"It's time for Wisconsin to join the many states across the country that have legalized marijuana..."
“It’s time for Wisconsin to join the many states across the country that have legalized marijuana and benefited from the revenue that comes with commercial sale and taxation of one of America’s largest cash crops,” said Supervisor Weishan.
Weishan’s proposed referendum question asks voters “Do you favor allowing adults 21 years of age and older to engage in the personal use of marijuana, while also regulating commercial marijuana-related activities, and imposing a tax on the sale of marijuana?”
On Friday, May 11, the Committee on Judiciary, Safety, and General Services will consider Weishan’s proposal to place the referendum on the November ballot.
Committee meetings are open to the public and provide an opportunity for public comment.
If the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors adopts Weishan’s resolution, the County Clerk will add the referendum question to all Milwaukee County ballots for the November election.

TRANSLATION: “We need every last Democratic druggie vote in November!!”
It is definitely time to make medical marijuana legal for people with longstanding Chronic Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and the like. It’s inhumane to have suffering senior citizens be denied this potential treatment regimen in WI, as many other states have seen the light.
Legalize, tax and regulate Wisconsin! Let’s join the the modern, civilized world and the 40 other U.S. states and all of Canada that have medical or full responsible adult use cannabis legalization laws now on the books. Wisconsin now has some of the most backwards, draconian prohibition laws in the entire country! The state is a laughing stock and yet another generation of young, educated young people is forced to flee the state in droves. The state hasn’t even decriminalized like Minnesota did in 1977. Seriously Wisconsin, it’s time to reform your failed prohibition laws, like NOW! No more Big Government Republican Nanny State control freak black market, wild west free for all. Legalize, tax and regulate this billion dollar black market. Then get out of our bedrooms, living rooms and out of our lives Republicans! If we needed a nanny, we would’ve hired one. We don’t, so take a hike!
