The Sofie Show Combines Art and Music to Support Humane Society
The third-annual Sofie Show takes place on Friday, April 20 at Zizzo Group in Third Ward
MILWAUKEE (April 13, 2018) – Mark your calendars, and bark twice if you’re in Milwaukee, because The Sofie Show is back, and it’s bigger than ever. This unique gallery night event on April 20th showcases one-of-a-kind animal-themed artwork from dozens of local artists, including Dwellephant and Big Shot Robot.
The artwork will all be available for silent auction, with all proceeds from the event going to support the mission of the Wisconsin Humane Society. This is the third year of the event, which has raised more than $10,000 for the Humane Society in the last two years.
To add to the fun, the Sofie Show will feature a full lineup of local musicians performing throughout the evening. Free beer samples have also been generously donated by Ale Asylum. The show will take place on April 20th from 6-9pm in the offices of the Zizzo Group at 207 N. Milwaukee St. in Milwaukee’s Third Ward.
Show creator Dan Augustine explains how this event could be the biggest to date: “With all the success and fun we’ve had with the show the last two years, so many people have stepped up to donate their time and talents to make this an unforgettable night once again. I’m still blown away by our roster of artists and musicians.”
Augustine started The Sofie Show in 2016 as a way to give back to the Humane Society after he and his wife adopted a shepherd mix named Sofie, who quickly stole their hearts.
The show is free to the public, with a suggested $5 donation to the Humane Society upon entry.
