Partial Closure: West Greenfield Avenue from South Cesar Chavez Drive to South 35th Street

Eastbound traffic only; no westbound traffic beginning Monday, April 9, 2018

The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) announces a partial closure of West Greenfield Avenue from South Cesar Chavez Drive to South 35th Street beginning Monday, April 9, 2018, weather permitting, as part of a street reconstruction project.

Eastbound traffic on West Greenfield Avenue will be maintained, but no westbound traffic will be allowed as work takes place on the north side of the street.

In addition, there will be no through traffic to side streets from the north side of West Greenfield Avenue EXCEPT:

  • South Layton Boulevard will be open for two-way traffic
  • A one-way southbound through lane will be open at South 21st and South 31st streets

Motorists are advised to add extra time when traveling through this neighborhood.
