Milwaukee Hotel Collection delivers top-tier brands to downtown
Seamless sales effort delivered to consumers, meeting planners
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Milwaukee (Jan. 3) – Jackson Street Holdings announced today that its hotels including The Westin Milwaukee, Milwaukee Marriott Downtown and SpringHill Suites by Marriott Milwaukee Downtown will be marketed under the name Milwaukee Hotel Collection. The hotels, owned by Jackson Street Holdings and managed by White Lodging, represent 580 downtown rooms that have opened in Milwaukee in less than four years.
As the largest-single recent developer of downtown hotels and food and beverage operations, Jackson Street Holdings says the decision makes public the hotels’ ongoing efforts to streamline reservations and meeting and event bookings.
“Milwaukee Hotel Collection today includes three best-in-class hotels at multiple price points,” said Chris Anderson, senior vice president and chief revenue officer of Jackson Street Holdings. “Branding these properties as one collection provides guests, meeting planners and social catering customers with a clear understanding of our three unique Marriott branded hotels offering a range of pricing and amenities to fit all needs.”
The addition of a full-service Marriott, a top-tier Westin and the all-suites SpringHill Suites in downtown signals the strength of the Milwaukee market, said Chris Anderson, senior vice president and chief commercial officer of White Lodging. “Milwaukee continues to see strong occupancy and meeting business. Our Milwaukee-based sales team is already working with customers to book room blocks, plan weddings and schedule meetings across all three properties. Providing a single point of contact to access a variety of price points and amenities is now officially done under one name.”
White Lodging and Jackson Street Holdings were recognized by Marriott International Hotels as the 2017 Hotel Opening of the Year 2017 for The Westin Milwaukee and Hotel Opening of the Year 2015 for the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown. Their SpringHill Suites property is the only one of its kind an historic building with a full-service on-property restaurant. This consistent level of unexpected service and amenities is a hallmark of the Milwaukee Hotel Collection and the umbrella brand gives guests the assurance of knowing what to expect regardless of which of hotel they select.
To fill the 350 full-time jobs added by these hotels in recent years, White Lodging has implemented recruitment, training and advancement programs that turn jobs into careers. “We are well positioned in Milwaukee and ready for growth,” said Anderson, hinting at the prospect for future properties under the Milwaukee Hotel Collection banner.
