Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital – Traffic and Parking Patterns to Change

Annual run/walk to be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017

The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) announces traffic and parking changes for the annual Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital on Saturday, September 16, 2017.  The start times, routes and street closures are as follows:

Run/Walk Start:  West Wisconsin Avenue from N. 11th Street to N. 16th Street.  This area will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Finish: East Chicago Street from N. Harbor Drive to N. Jackson Street (Summerfest grounds).  This area will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In addition, North Harbor Dr. from E. Clybourn St. to E. Chicago St., and N. Lincoln Memorial Dr. from E. Chicago St. to E. Summerfest Pl. may be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

All streets along the route will be barricaded at approximately 10:00 a.m. Motorists and parkers should be especially aware of temporary parking restrictions along the run/walk routes.  Cars must be moved off the routes to help ensure the safety of all run/walk participants.

All vehicles still parked on the run/walk routes will be ticketed and towed. For information regarding towed vehicles, please call (414) 286-2700.
