20th Annual Concerts in the Park continues next Wednesday
The jazz and reggae music is being featured during free Wednesday concerts at the Sr. Jeanne Gengler Park, 5000 W. Burleigh St.
This summer marks the 20th Annual Concerts in the Park event sponsored by Wheaton Franciscan St. Joseph Campus, part of Ascension Healthcare. The jazz and reggae music is being featured during free Wednesday concerts at the Sr. Jeanne Gengler Park, 5000 W. Burleigh St. and will start at 7 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.
Next week on August 2 Como No hits the stage.
Como No features master conga drummer Jon Rico and brings its Latin Jazz sound and Afro-Cuban percussion to life.
On August 16 In Black “N” White takes the stage.
Don’t forget dancing shoes if you go to see In Black “N” White, whose popular reggae music will be sure to get you on your feet.
These family friendly concerts are made possible through a grant from the Francie Luke Silverman Foundation and the organizing efforts of Ascension, St. Joseph Hospital and Sherman Perk Coffee Shop.
Free Parking will be available in the St. Joseph Hospital parking structure. Refreshments will be for sale at the event. Seating will not be provided. Take note that performances may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Rain dates are not scheduled.
The free concerts will be held in the West Burleigh Street Business Improvement District.
