MADISON – Today, at the Republican Party of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker announced he would be seeking a 3rd term of failure for Wisconsin Families.
“Wisconsin families deserve a chance to thrive in an economy that works for everyone, not just the people at the top.” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Martha Laning said in a statement.
“For 8 long years, Governor Walker and Republicans in Madison have driven our families further from success. What we have to show for those 8 years is one of the fastest shrinking middle classes in the nation, tax giveaways to billionaires, crumbling infrastructure and less money for our schools. in 2010, Wisconsin gave Walker and Republicans a chance to make their lives better, and haven’t. In 2018, we will have a choice to make: stick to the status quo of pitting the ultra rich against the rest of us, or vote for real change in the way we operate our government.”
The Democratic Party of Wisconsin has already started organizing the grassroots throughout the state, building a true grassroots operation that will turn our state around and give every Wisconsinite a fair opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
