Small Pleasures

A sidewalk closed here, scaffolding there, and covered windows scattered about. No, it’s not the many stages of the Milwaukee City Hall restoration project. Friday Photos this week focuses on a number of smaller projects designed to improve and maintain downtown properties. Three projects in particular are featured. Van Buren Management is adding windows to 788 N. Jefferson St. in an attempt to lure more tenants. The Chase Tower facade and riverwalk is undergoing an overhaul between Wisconsin Ave. and Michigan St. ART Milwaukee and the downtown Hampton Inn have teamed up to create a residency program in a formerly underused space along W. Wisconsin Ave.
