Applications are being accepted and the deadline to apply is Friday, September 23, 2016.
MADISON—-The Wisconsin Women’s Network (WWN) today announced the 2016-17 Policy Institute. Applications are being accepted and the deadline to apply is Friday, September 23, 2016.
The Wisconsin Women’s Network is seeking outstanding women to participate in the fifth annual Wisconsin Women’s Network Policy Institute. Participants will build their advocacy skills, learn how to navigate Wisconsin’s legislative and administrative rules process, and apply their passion for improving the lives of women and girls in Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Women’s Network Policy Institute provides hands-on leadership, communications, and policy advocacy training to a select group of Wisconsin women every year. The Institute is a program of the Wisconsin Women’s Network, a nonpartisan, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to advancing the status of women and girls in Wisconsin through communication, education, advocacy, and connections.
When participants graduate from the Institute they are able to take what they have learned back to their communities and organizations where they will continue to engage in policy advocacy and educational efforts that advance the status of women and girls in our state.
The Wisconsin Women’s Network is committed to training women who represent all segments of Wisconsin’s diverse population. Women of diverse socioeconomic, LGBTQ+, racial, ethnic, generational, and geographic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply!
Completed Institute applications must be emailed to info@wiwomensnetwork.org by Noon on Friday, September 23, 2016. Participants who have been accepted into the Institute will then be notified of their selection by Friday, October 14, 2016.
