Bridge to re-open by opening of Summerfest on June 29

The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) will perform maintenance work on the South 1st Street Bridge over the Kinnickinnic River beginning Monday, June 20. Work will continue through Tuesday, June 28 with the bridge re-opening to traffic on June 29.

The traveling public should follow the detour route and signs as posted, and are advised to add extra commute time in and around this area.
