Jackson Park Farmers Market Starts June 9
The farmers market will feature fresh fruits, vegetables and plants along with a food truck and prepared food.
Milwaukee – Jun 9, 2016 – The Jackson Park Farmers Market, in partnership with Milwaukee County Parks and the Jackson Park Community Association, is set to launch for the second consecutive year this June at Jackson Park on Milwaukee’s South West Side.
The second year Farmers Market starts Thursday, June 9, and will feature fresh fruits, vegetables and plants along with a food truck and prepared food. The first Market of each month with feature local craft and non-food items, including soap, environmentally friendly storage bags and kitchen items. The Market will run on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. through September 29 at Jackson Park, adjacent to the lagoon on the KK Parkway between 35th street and 43rd street.
“The Jackson Park Farmers Market offers a diverse selection of local products and fresh, healthy food in a family-friendly setting,” said Tim Kenney, Jackson Park Farmers Market Committee member. “Our second year is already shaping up to build on the success of last year, with more entertainment, kids’ activities and a wider range of vendors.”
