LISC Milwaukee Announces Hire of New Lender and Real Estate Program Officer, Renata Bitoy Bunger
Renata has extensive experience in business development, real estate and lending.
(March 2, 2016) Renata Bitoy Bunger will serve as LISC Milwaukee’s Program Officer for Lending and Real Estate. Her primary responsibility is to build and manage a real estate lending portfolio that leads to community transformation through affordable housing, commercial developments, and community facilities.
Renata has extensive experience in business development, real estate and lending.
She served as Senior Multifamily Underwriter for Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development, were she worked successfully with developers to close more than $30 million in multifamily loans, and approved $100 million in LIHTC awards. As Associate Director, at Fitch Ratings, she monitored commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) representing nearly $30 billion in complex domestic transactions. Renata also served as a Senior Asset Manager for the National Equity Fund where she managed a portfolio of special needs, senior and family housing Section 42/LIHTC properties representing nearly $200 million of investments. Most recently, she managed a start-up business helping to create a successful 10-acre permaculture farm in Southeast Wisconsin.
She has a graduate degree in urban planning and policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Wisconsin licensed real estate broker. She is a LEED green associate and dedicated to advocating for the green built environment.
