Merrillville, Ind. (February XX, 2016):  Jackson Street Holdings, LLC and White Lodging announced today that the world-renowned Westin brand is poised to make its debut in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Owned by an affiliate of Jackson Street Holdings and managed by White Lodging, The Westin Milwaukee will open Summer 2017 on the US Bank campus in the heart of downtown with financing from BMO Harris and Anchor Bank.

The newly constructed Westin will feature 220 luxurious guest rooms and suites, with many overlooking Lake Michigan. It will also include 9,000 square feet of well-appointed meeting facilities including a 5,000 square-foot ballroom, a fine dining restaurant and a substantial lobby bar, a WestinWORKOUT® gym and all the Westin brand’s signature services and amenities designed to inspire wellbeing.

“The Westin Milwaukee is a highly anticipated addition to our growing global portfolio and will energize the lodging market at the heart of this city’s vibrant downtown,” said Brian Povinelli, Global Brand Leader for Westin Hotels & Resorts and Le Méridien Hotels. “We look forward to giving travelers to Milwaukee the opportunity to revitalize and recharge with the help of all the Westin brand’s signature programs and amenities, designed to send them home feeling better than when they arrived.”

The hotel marks the third hotel partnership between White Lodging and Jackson Street Holdings, LLC, and is Jackson Street Holding, LLC’s fourth hotel in downtown Milwaukee. The 155-all-suite SpringHill Suites Milwaukee, 744 N 4th St, will open in April, and is connected via skywalk to the Wisconsin Center.

A convenient lobby-level walkway will connect The Westin Milwaukee directly to the US Bank Center’s Galleria level, while a porte-cochere will offer a second, street-level entrance to the hotel.  Walking distance from the shores of Lake Michigan, the hotel is adjacent to the corporate headquarters of Northwestern Mutual and Johnson Controls. Also nearby are the Historic Third Ward District, and the shops and restaurants on the Milwaukee River Walk. The hotel is blocks away from the Wisconsin Center, the BMO Harris Bradley Center, Milwaukee Art Museum and Discovery Musuem.

“The Westin will be the closest hotel to Lake Michigan in Milwaukee and is connected indoors to over 3,000 people working downtown,” said Chris Anderson, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer with White Lodging. “We’re thrilled to continue our great relationship with Jackson Street Holdings, and the ability to play a role in a beautiful addition to the Milwaukee skyline and the introduction of an international luxury brand to the market.”

“The upcoming opening of The Westin Milwaukee will mark an important debut for Westin and pave the way for the further development of Starwood’s lifestyle brands in this key mid-western market, ” said Allison Reid, Senior Vice President of North America Development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. “Westin, which recently crossed the 200th hotel milestone worldwide, continues to gain momentum in cities throughout North America, propelled by the success of its distinctive wellness positioning and the enthusiasm of owners and developers who are eager to bring the brands to new markets.”

The sensory-rich environment at Westin offers a respite from the rigors of travel and sets a welcoming tone. The Westin brand’s innovative programs and instinctive service transform every aspect of a guest’s stay into a revitalizing experience. All guestrooms and suites at The Westin Milwaukee will feature the world-renowned Westin Heavenly® Bed – featuring lush sheets, down cushioning and a patented pillow-top mattress, which cradles and contours to the body for complete comfort. Guests will revive in the Heavenly® Bath enhanced with the brand’s Heavenly® Shower, Heavenly® Robe and White Tea Aloe bath amenities, in-room and high-speed Internet access. The hotel will also offer the Westin brand’s signature SuperFoodsRX® menu, which includes nutrient-rich and delicious options to tempt every palate.

Westin Hotels & Resorts, like all brands within Starwood’s robust portfolio, is proud to offer the Starwood Preferred Guest® program, which made headlines when it launched in 1999 with a breakthrough policy of no blackout dates on Free Night Awards. SPG® offers members the ability to redeem awards at more resorts, more luxury properties, more European hotels and more golf properties than any other hotel program.
