What is your job and its responsibilities?

I am the elected State Representative for Wisconsin’s 11th Assembly District. As a legislator, I am tasked with addressing the concerns of the people I represent and voting on and coming up with new laws.

How long have you lived in Milwaukee and what brought you here?

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, left for college and came back in 2009 (because why wouldn’t I?).

What is one word that you would use to describe Milwaukee?

Untapped

What is your biggest hope for this city?

For the invisible walls to come down so we can together to create positive change and a dynamic shift in the areas we are the most challenged (poverty, education, joblessness).

What is your favorite Milwaukee tradition?

The entire festival season, from the Summerfest Grounds to the many wonderful neighborhood block parties.

What’s your favorite hidden gem or secret fact about the city?

We have the obvious beer culture, great coffee culture, but an unsung burger culture.
