Walker Plan Fails to Provide Real Relief on Student Debt
“Wisconsin’s economy would clearly do better if we had a real policy solution to student loan debt and the governor’s plan isn’t it.”
Today Assembly Democratic Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) and Rep. Cory Mason (D-Racine) released the following statement in response to Governor Walker’s lackluster plan on student debt:
“More than a million Wisconsinites are currently burdened by student loan debt, yet Governor Walker’s plan would help just a small fraction of those borrowers.
“Wisconsin’s economy would clearly do better if we had a real policy solution to student loan debt and the governor’s plan isn’t it.”
