MILWAUKEE – Marquette Theatre will present Ivy + Bean The Musical at the Evan P. & Marion Helfaer Theatre. Niffer Clarke will direct Scott Elmegreen’s script, music, and lyrics based on The New York Times best-selling stories by Annie Barrows with illustrations by Sophie Blackall.

Bean, the queen of Pancake Court, has the energy and knows the games that all of the kids on the street love. Ivy, new in town, has big ideas, but she’s quiet and shy. When Bean’s sister gets too bossy, a plan to teach her a lesson makes these spunky second-graders into unexpected friends.

Performances will be presented:

  • Saturday, Jan. 16, and Sunday, Jan. 17, at 2:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 23, and Sunday, Jan. 24, at 2:30 p.m.

This musical is appropriate for children ages 4 and up. Tickets are $12, and available to purchase online. For more information, call the Theatre Box Office at (414) 288-7504.
