MPTV Series Highlights Mural Collaboration

MILWAUKEE, Oct 13 2015 –  The creation of an outdoor mosaic mural for Neighborhood House Garden Park is the topic of an upcoming feature on Milwaukee Public Television‘s The Arts Page. Neighborhood House partnered with SHARP Literacy on the project, which was led by Milwaukee artist Sally Duback and incorporated the work of 30 young students participating in a summer educational program.

The Arts Page feature will air:

  • THURSDAY OCTOBER 15 @ 6:30P on MPTV Ch10
  • FRIDAY OCTOBER 16 @ 12:30A MPTV Ch36
  • SATURDAY OCTOBER 17 @ 11:30A MPTV Ch36

The mural centered on urban agriculture-focused literary materials  developed by SHARP, and was unveiled at Neighborhood House’s  “Community Unity Day” event in August in honor of the community center’s 70th anniversary. The mural theme is based on SHARP’s 12th We Love to Learn book, There Grows the Neighborhood: Agriculture in the City.
