The Common Council’s Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, September 15) will include the tax incremental financing development package for the proposed downtown arena project (Tax Incremental District No. 84).

The committee will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 301-B at City Hall, 200 E. Wells St. The meeting will be televised live on the City Channel (Channel 25 on Time Warner Cable and on AT&T U-Verse Channel 99) in the City of Milwaukee. It can also be viewed via streaming video on the city website at www.city.milwaukee.gov/Channel25.

Testimony to be heard by the ZND Committee on the arena development package will be limited to parties directly involved in the project, including Milwaukee Bucks officials and other city officials. No public testimony will be heard.

During a public hearing held August 31 at City Hall solely to solicit input on the proposed arena project, dozens of speakers provided their views to the Council’s Steering and Rules Committee.

The full Common Council is expected to vote on the arena proposal during its regular meeting on September 22 at City Hall.
