Chevy’s commitment to his district and city began at an early age.

MILWAUKEE – Cavalier “Chevy” Johnson today announced his candidacy for City of Milwaukee District 2 Alderman. The district, comprised of hard-working Milwaukee residents and families, also boasts some of the most diverse cultural and economic assets in the city, including Westlawn, Midtown Center, and Little Menomonee Parkway.

“I’m running for Alderman because I believe in Milwaukee. If we truly work together, we can further address our needs for public safety, infrastructure, and additional economic development. Together, we can move our City forward.”

Chevy’s commitment to his district and city began at an early age. At 14 years old, he was selected by the YMCA to participate in a pre-college program for low-income MPS students. That very same program, Sponsor-A-Scholar, solidified Chevy’s life commitment to community service and making Milwaukee better for future generations. Most recently, Chevy served our community through the Mayor’s Office, where he worked diligently with community and faith leaders to find creative solutions to some of Milwaukee’s most pressing issues facing families from all walks of life.

Service has been the hallmark of Chevy’s life, and that is why he has chosen to run for 2nd District Alderman.
