Milwaukee Ballet II Premieres New Works at South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center

January 25 Show features music of Cole Porter, Milwaukee Ballet Artist Director Michael Pink’s “Aubade” and new material from Milwaukee Ballet Choreographer-in-Residence Timothy O’Donnell

MILWAUKEE – January 3, 2014 – Milwaukee Ballet II (MBII), the second company of Milwaukee Ballet, is set to stage a new work from Milwaukee Ballet Choreographer-in-Residence Petr Zahradnícek at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, 901 15th Avenue, South Milwaukee.

The January 25 show is the only MBII mainstage performance of this season and features three, distinct pieces: A world-premiere set to the music of Cole Porter from Milwaukee Ballet Choreographer-in-Residence Petr Zahradnícek; “Aubade” from Milwaukee Ballet Artistic Director Michael Pink; and a new work from Milwaukee Ballet Choreographer-in-Residence Timothy O’Donnell.

“Seeing this show allows the audience to invest in the future of dance by supporting these talented, young dancers,” noted MBII Director Roland Yanes. “Plus, the show in and of itself is ideal for dance lovers and novices alike, as it showcases a range of styles, from classical to contemporary.”
