Temporary MyVote Wisconsin Outage
MADISON – The MyVote Wisconsin website will be offline for a few hours for maintenance and upgrades starting on Friday evening, October 9.
The outage will begin at 5:00 p.m. on October 9, 2026, and is expected to last until 10:00 p.m.
The WEC alerted clerks about the routine maintenance and its temporary outage. Security needs are changing faster than they used to, and new risks are being identified more quickly. Because of that, staff need to make important security updates more frequently, even when we are approaching an election.
Visitors to the MyVote website will see a maintenance message regarding the temporary outage. Voters can contact the Wisconsin Elections Commission HelpDesk or their clerk for immediate assistance.
Voters will not notice any difference when the website, MyVote.wi.gov, returns. Wisconsin voters can use MyVote to register to vote online, check their registration status, request an absentee ballot, find their polling place, and what’s on their ballot. MyVote also helps users find contact information for their municipal clerk’s office.
