The New Komatsu Mining Office is on the opposite side of Greenfield Avenue from the UW School of Frehwater Sciences. That’s the location of the Wisconsin DNR offfice where I used to work.
A large number of trout and salmon migrate upstream on the Kinnickinnic River, in front of the Komatsu property, during their spawning runs. You can watch the fish jumping out of the water in harbor as they move upstream. The Komatsu employees will be able to fish for these trout and salmon from the shoreline of their workplace. Some of those salmon can weigh up 20-30 pounds.
I had baked potato, green beans, green salad, and broiled salmon for breakfast this morning.
